Anglicare Sydney to acquire Infinite Care, creating national Christian for-purpose aged care provider

Anglicare Sydney has signed an agreement to acquire Infinite Care, in a transaction that will establish one of the country’s largest Christian for-purpose residential aged care providers.
Subject to regulatory approvals and conditions precedent, completion is expected around May 2026.
The combined organisation will operate around 4,600 residential aged care beds across 42 homes in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, supported by approximately 7,000 staff.
A platform for scale and development
At a time when the sector is under sustained workforce and financial pressure, the acquisition signals a deliberate move towards scale.
Anglicare Sydney Chief Executive Officer Simon Miller described the transaction as a strategic step to strengthen sustainability and quality in a rapidly changing environment.
“With an ageing population, older Australians need strong aged care providers that are sustainable for the future,” Mr Miller said.
He said Infinite Care brought a resident-focused model of care and shared values, with opportunities to combine best practice, invest further in palliative care and expand pastoral and spiritual care offerings.
“Residential aged care is all about home – belonging, security, care and connection. Together we will be able to deliver better whole-of-person care that values and respects the dignity, choices and needs of those we serve,” Mr Miller said.
Anglicare’s mission, he added, remains grounded in service. “Anglicare’s mission is to serve people in need, enrich lives, and share the love of Jesus, and this year marks 170 years of serving people in our communities.”
The enlarged group will also have development opportunities across its portfolio, positioning it to bring new beds to market as demand continues to rise.
Continuity for residents and staff
Luke Greive, Chief Executive Officer of Infinite Care, said the partnership would strengthen the organisation’s capacity to deliver whole-of-person care while maintaining continuity for residents and staff.

Residents will continue to receive care from existing teams, with operations to continue as normal during the transition. Infinite Care will retain its brand for the foreseeable future.
Faith-based providers build national presence
The transaction reflects a broader trend of mission-driven providers consolidating to achieve the scale needed to navigate funding reform, workforce shortages and rising expectations around quality and governance.
For Anglicare Sydney, the move extends its footprint beyond its traditional base and positions the organisation as a significant national faith-based operator in residential aged care.
For the sector more broadly, it is another signal that size, alignment of values and access to capital are increasingly shaping the next chapter of aged care in Australia.
