Estia Health has marked crucial milestones in its expansion across Australia, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality aged care services.

On April 1, 2025, Estia Health successfully completed its acquisition of seven residential aged care homes previously operated by Aurrum Aged Care.

This acquisition includes three homes on the Central Coast of New South Wales — Erina/Terrigal Drive, Norah Head, and Wyoming — and four homes in Melbourne — Brunswick, Healesville, Plenty, and Reservoir.

The addition of approximately 800 residential aged care places enhances Estia Health’s presence in New South Wales and Victoria. All existing home-based staff were offered employment with Estia Health, ensuring continuity of care for residents and providing employees with expanded career development opportunities.

“We want to assure all residents and their families that they will continue to receive the same dedicated care and services from the same people that they always have,” Sean Bilton, Estia Health Chief Executive Officer, said.

“As a provider of 85 residential aged care homes across Australia, we are proud to offer individualised care and support to our residents and their families at an incredibly important time in their lives.”

Aurrum Aged Care was established in 2013. Aurrum representative Adam Wilson previously stated that the organisation believes Estia Health would provide the scale and support staff and residents required.

Estia Health breaks ground in South Australia

In a separate development, Estia Health commenced construction on its 20th aged care home in South Australia, located at 46-52 Crittenden Road, Findon.

The new project in the western suburbs will offer 124 places and is designed to provide a resident-focused environment, featuring amenities such as a café, hairdresser, Wellness Hub, and a dedicated memory support area.

The two-storey building will include five self-contained care wings with dedicated dining areas, lounges, activity rooms, and landscaped courtyards.

“We are excited to mark the construction of our new home in Adelaide, which will provide much-needed aged care services to the local community. As our 20th home in South Australia, Estia Health Findon will help us extend our care to approximately 2,000 older South Australians annually,” Mr Bilton shared.

“Our person-centred clinical care model, led by an experienced team of aged care Registered Nurses, will be complemented in partnership with medical professionals providing rehabilitation and wellness programs accessible to both residents and the local community,” he added.

The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by community representatives, including Senator Karen Grogan, and featured a Welcome to Country ceremony performed by Corey Turner of Southern Cultural Immersion.

Estia Health expects the home to be completed in mid-2026. It will likely create 150 jobs across various care and hospitality roles once fully operational.

These strategic initiatives underscore Estia Health’s dedication to expanding its services and facilities to meet the growing needs of Australia’s ageing population.
